Flow is from left to right (x-direction) in the images, each of which measures: Lx / = 3.85, Ly / = 1.49 (in viscous units: Lx+ = 1150, Ly+ = 444). Time begins in the upper right hand corner, proceeds downwards, then continues in the next column to the left. Note that structures appear to be connected in the horizontal direction; horizontally adjacent images are separated in time by 10 t which translates via the Taylor hypothesis to: Ue 10 t ~ 3.4 ~ Lx /
